ICE was incorporated within 1980 after a primary founders graduated from either the University of Virginia. ICE's primary focus, so & nowadays, get on non-electronic, or even "table top", role-swimming games (RPG's) marketed to the RPG hobbyist market.

ICE's Tolkien-based RPG, Middle Earth Role Play, was the 2nd right selling fantasy RPG fallowing Hasbro's Dungeons & Dragons.
